ROYAL CANIN® Diabetic is a complete dietetic feed for cats, formulated for the regulation of glucose supply (Diabetes Mellitus). With a low level of mono- and disaccharides, this veterinary-exclusive diet is specifically tailored with the needs of diabetic adult cats in mind.

Diabetes mellitus occurs when insulin is not being produced by the body or the body is no longer responding to insulin as it should. This condition can develop in cats as a possible result of a number of factors, including excess weight and obesity.

• Glucomodulation: Reduced starch levels from sources with a low glycaemic index help manage post-prandial blood glucose
• High Protein: Maintains muscle mass which is essential for diabetic cats
• Moderate Fat: Helps maintain a healthy body weight

Composition: Dehydrated poultry protein, barley, wheat gluten*, maize gluten, soya protein isolate*, manioc (tapioca), vegetable fibres, hydrolysed poultry protein, animal fats, minerals, chicory pulp, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, soya oil, marigold meal.

Recommended for: Diabetes Mellitus with Body Condition Score 6/9 or below, and BCS 7/9 or higher until glycaemic control has been achieved.

يحدث داء السكري عندما لا يُنتج الجسم الإنسولين بكميات كافية أو عندما يتوقف الجسم عن الاستجابة للإنسولين بشكل طبيعي. قد تتطور هذه الحالة في القطط نتيجة عوامل عدة، منها زيادة الوزن والسمنة.
